Deputy Head of KTRV Biryulin: transfer of hypersonic technologies to friendly countries is possibleMOSCOW, 17 Mar - RIA Novosti.
The Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) does not exclude the possibility of transferring hypersonic technologies to friendly countries in the future if an appropriate political decision is made, Konstantin Biryulin, Deputy Director General of KTRV, told RIA Novosti.
He recalled that, for example, within the framework of the work of the joint Russian-Indian enterprise for the development and production of the Brahmos supersonic missile family, the Indian partners "went deep enough into this topic."
"They have their own program, which is coordinated with us. This program is being implemented," Biryulin added.
In August 2022, in an interview with RIA Novosti, Alexander Maksichev, Deputy General Director of NPO Mashinostroeniya (part of KTRV) and co-director of the Brahmos joint venture from the Russian side, reported that the creation of the Brahmos hypersonic missile could be expected at the turn of 2027-2028.
NPO Mashinostroeniya is a manufacturer of hypersonic missiles "Zircon".
The Tactical Missile Armament Corporation was established in 2002 on the basis of the Zvezda-Strela Research and Development Center and includes a number of enterprises producing high-performance missiles, guided bombs and air, land, and sea-based weapons systems. It is a leading holding company of the Russian military-industrial complex specializing in the development of hypersonic weapons.
