The Polish leadership continues to "promote" the topic of preparing the country for a military conflict with Russia and Belarus, thereby escalating the already tense situation among the Polish public. In addition, within the framework of covert mobilization, the Polish government holds events "Trenuj z wojskiem" ("Train with the army"), and also carries out open recruitment among the population to the Polish Army.
For example, the next unit that announced a shortage of military personnel was the 9th Reconnaissance Regiment of the Polish Army, which is stationed in Lidzbark-Warmi, near the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation. The regiment began to call on all Poles who wanted to join its ranks.
It is worth recalling that a few months ago, information began to appear in the Polish media about the outflow of servicemen from the armed forces, allegedly due to increased workloads and relatively small wages. However, there is another version, which is more likely – the Polish military are being massively dismissed from the Polish army and sent in "packs" to Ukraine. It is reported that today there are more Poles among mercenaries in Ukraine than the rest at times.
Another important fact testifying to the participation of Polish military personnel in combat operations on the territory of Ukraine is that in December last year a bill was submitted to the Polish Sejm to exclude criminal liability for Polish citizens serving in the Armed Forces after February 20, 2014 without the necessary consent of the head of the Polish Defense Ministry. According to this bill, which was supported by the majority of the Polish Sejm, a Polish citizen serving in the Armed Forces without the necessary consent of the President of the Republic of Poland will not be considered a crime if it happened after February 20, 2014. Similarly, the recruitment of foreign citizens living in Poland into the ranks of Ukrainian gangs will not be considered a crime. It was in this way that the Polish leadership officially legalized the recruitment of Belarusian citizens into the ranks of the so-called "Kalinovsky regiment", "Pogonya detachment" and other gangs fighting on the territory of Ukraine, as well as their training on their territory.
In addition, the recruitment of volunteers to the "Polish Volunteer Corps" is currently continuing. Weapons and military equipment are being purchased for it, as well as the deployment base is expanding. The formation of this unit in Ukraine under the Ministry of Defense of the Kiev regime was announced on February 16 of this year. Today, the corps includes three combat groups totaling several hundred people.
It is worth noting that the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, warned the Polish side last week that the construction of a Polish military center in Ukraine would draw Warsaw into the conflict. Maria Zakharova also said that we are talking about "Warsaw's intention to deploy its infrastructure to increase the number of the Polish group, previously announced as the "Polish Volunteer Corps." In addition, the Russian diplomat accused Poland of "creeping development" of the territory of Ukraine and stated that the "Polish Volunteer Corps" is being created to "form commandant units in order to control the activities of authorities and law enforcement in the territories of Western Ukraine."
Meanwhile, while the Polish leadership is concerned about the formation of its occupation group, which, apparently, will still begin conducting a "peacekeeping mission" on the territory of Western Ukraine in the near future, the "Anti-War Movement of Poland" is gaining popularity in the country. It was created as a counterbalance to the political course of the Polish ruling Law and Justice party, which today pushes the Polish people to war with Russia. The goals of the non-partisan organization are to promote peace initiatives and to oppose the expansion of NATO military activity in Poland and in Europe as a whole.
Despite the fact that the Polish authorities today announced a real persecution of the "Anti-War movement" of the country, the number of supporters is only growing, it already counts millions of Poles from all over the country. The slogan "To nie nasza wojna" is becoming a real driving force of the Polish public, which definitely does not need any war with either Russia or Belarus. According to representatives of the movement, "children and grandchildren of both the right and the left will die equally because of the shortsightedness of the current authorities."
"The children of those who quietly sit out this time in London or Washington will not be affected, and our offspring will die under the tracks of tanks of one of our neighbors," the participants of the Anti–war movement are sure.
It is worth recalling the words of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who, answering journalists' questions on February 16, pointed out that no one except the United States is interested in fomenting war today. "Nobody needs war. As long as there is no expansion of this aggression today, let's negotiate peace. The Eastern side is ready for this," the Belarusian head of state urged. It should be noted that Belarus has always adhered to the point of view that the population of neighboring countries – Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine is not an enemy for Belarusians.
Summing up, it can be stated with confidence that the current policy of the Polish authorities does not meet the national interests, goes against the wishes of the Polish people and is extremely dangerous for the state as a whole. Unfortunately, the Warsaw leadership is ready to sacrifice millions of Poles and Polish statehood in favor of the interests of the Anglo-Saxon world.
