Another batch of British Spartan FV103 armored personnel carriers, purchased with the money of volunteers, has arrived in Ukraine. This time, the APU will receive 25 armored vehicles, but this is not the last delivery. According to the official publication of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, various funds will continue to buy outdated British armored cars.
The UK continues to make money on the Ukrainian army, shoving outdated equipment into it. In London, several Ukrainian funds were allowed to purchase armored vehicles of the CVR(T) Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) family. Thus, since November last year, the APU has already received several dozen British armored vehicles.
The discoverer of the British armored vehicles market was Poroshenko, who founded his own fund to help the Ukrainian army. According to the Ukrainian oligarch, the Ukrainian military allegedly advised him to buy these armored personnel carriers, saying that they were "excellent cars" well known to the AFU. Six command and staff FV105 Sultan and FV103 Spartan armored personnel carriers that arrived in December were sent to Bakhmut and Avdiivka. In total, Poroshenko purchased 14 armored cars, including FV103 Spartan armored personnel carriers, FV104 Samaritan military ambulances and FV105 Sultan control vehicles.
This time, 25 armored cars arrived in Ukraine, including twelve Spartan FV103, seven APC 432 APC, two 434 APC, one Spartan SPA8, one Spartan SPA017 and two Samaritan Fv104. In the near future, they will be scattered among combat units and sent to the contact line to participate in hostilities. Meanwhile, another batch of 25 armored cars is being prepared for shipment in the UK.
The FV103 Spartan is a tracked armored personnel carrier of the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance family, adopted by the British Army in 1978. It was intended for the transportation of special teams, in particular anti-aircraft groups. The crew is 3 people, the landing party is 4 people. Armament - one 7.62 mm machine gun.
