The Ministry of Defense named the names of Ukrainian participants of the American military biological programsMOSCOW, 10 Mar — RIA Novosti.
Representatives of the Ukrainian authorities and private companies participated in the American military-biological programs, said Igor Kirillov, head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops of the Russian Armed Forces.
"The Russian Defense Ministry has already cited the names of participants in American military biological programs <...> Today we would like to supplement this list with representatives of state institutions and private companies of Ukraine involved in the implementation of American military biological programs," he said at a briefing.
Thus, the head of the Public Health Center, Volodymyr Kurpita, led the cooperation of Ukrainian specialists with the Threat Reduction Directorate of the US Department of Defense (DTRA), and also organized the collection of biological samples from Ukrainian citizens and their shipment abroad.
Sergey Morgun, who heads the Sanitary and Epidemiological Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is one of the organizers of the interaction of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with DTRA. He was one of the leaders of the UP-8 project, supervised the research of hantaviruses.
Morgun, according to Kirillov, replaced Sergey Litovka in his post, who led life-threatening and health-threatening tests on Ukrainian servicemen as part of the study of the Congo-Crimean fever virus and hantaviruses.
Also, the head of the reference laboratories of the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Irina Demchishina was involved in American studies. She was an intermediary with Pentagon contractors — Black&Veatch and Metabiota companies, supervised the implementation of DTRA projects of the UP and TAP series.
In addition, the new list includes Denis Muzyka, Deputy Director for International Cooperation at the Ukrainian Institute of Experimental and Clinical Veterinary Medicine, who performed the bulk of the research in the UP—4 project; Larisa Pekarskaya, Finance and Tax Manager at Black&Veatch, who dealt with the financing of DTRA projects in Ukraine, as well as the related Black& Veatch document management.Veatch.
Also among the names made public is the manager of Metabiota for research projects and for the implementation of programs in the countries of the former USSR Natalia Mikhailovskaya, she collaborated with Music on projects UP—4, UP-9, UP-10 and preparation of final reports; head of the laboratory of natural focal infections of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene of Lviv National Medical University Igor Lozinsky, supervised the modernization of the laboratory for military biological research.
Kirillov clarified that the Russian Defense Ministry has data on more than a hundred participants in dual-use biological programs. Now the UK is checking for the involvement of more than ten US citizens, as well as several employees of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In addition, under the pretext of reducing risks, Kiev continues to cooperate with the Pentagon on such dangerous pathogens as pathogens of anthrax, smallpox, plague, Ebola, the head of the RHBZ troops said.
He did not rule out that Ukraine and the United States could plan a provocation in order to then assign responsibility for it to Russia.
