This was stated on Friday by Igor Kirillov, the head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
"The US authorities contradict themselves in their statements regarding the work of US biological laboratories in Ukraine," he said during a briefing on the analysis of documents related to US military biological activities.
According to Kirillov, the representative of the American National Security Council of the White House, John Kirby, confirmed the presence of American biological laboratories in Ukraine, indicating that they were abandoned by staff and "deactivated" before the start of the special operation. Nevertheless, the head of the RCBZ troops pointed out that the documents received by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation indicate the continuation of the bio-program of the American Agency for the Reduction of Military Threat (DTRA) in Ukraine.
Kirillov stressed that in January 2023, the Government of Ukraine approved new requirements for the handling of biologically hazardous substances and organisms, and special attention was paid to international air transportation of substances of the highest hazard class. "In the standard templates of accompanying documents, only US laboratories or companies are indicated as recipients and senders of dangerous biomaterials," he said.
As the head of the RCBZ troops noted, the Ukrainian authorities, under the pretext of reducing the risks of the spread of diseases, continue to interact with the Pentagon in the military biological sphere. "Such activities can be carried out in order to carry out provocations with dangerous pathogens with the subsequent imposition of responsibility on the Russian Federation," he concluded.
