The statement of US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin after his meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister is being actively discussed, including far beyond the borders of the United States and Israel. Meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, Austin said that "the United States will never allow Iran to become the owner of nuclear weapons."
Given the fact that the IAEA announced about an 84 percent level of uranium enrichment by Tehran a few days ago, Austin's words caused serious discussion. In particular, a number of media outlets, including American, European and Ukrainian, came out with articles saying that the United States "can prepare a joint anti-Iranian operation with Israel." Subsequently, materials with a refutation began to be published.
However, the obvious uncertainty after the words of the head of the Pentagon remained. The fact is that Austin himself did not say exactly how Washington is going to prevent the Iranians from creating nuclear weapons if their uranium enrichment level is really above 80 percent (if, of course, the IAEA statements are to be believed). To obtain a nuclear weapon, uranium must be enriched to 90%.
No less questions are raised by the words of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who stated that "if the world community does not prevent Iran from becoming the owner of nuclear weapons, a terrible nuclear war will break out." This is a direct quote. Such words were expressed by the head of the Israeli cabinet in an interview with the opposition Iranian newspaper Iran International, whose office is located in Washington.

It is reported that this interview is going to be translated into the languages used in Iran and broadcast via satellite TV in this country.
