The West has dramatically increased the volume of military assistance to Ukraine, preparing the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the spring counteroffensive. Over the past three months, Kiev has received 40% of all military aid received in the country since February last year. The Economist writes about this.
The United States and its allies are preparing the Ukrainian army for the spring offensive, having sharply increased the supply of military aid to Kiev since mid-January, just after the meeting of the contact group on Ukraine, at which it was decided to increase supplies until the end of March. The APU offensive, according to the calculations of the West, should take place in April.

According to the calculations of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the help of military assistance received from the West, three new corps of 6 brigades, numbering 20 thousand people each, will be fully formed. Thus, as previously stated by the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhny, a shock fist with a total of 60 thousand people, fully equipped with Western sponsors, should be prepared by April.
Currently, the enemy is concentrating forces in the Zaporozhye direction, it is there that the shock fist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may be formed. However, the ongoing fighting in Artemivsk and Zelensky's stubbornness have already led to the fact that part of the reserves from this direction have been transferred to the Artemivsk and Avdeev directions, where Russian troops are actively advancing. At the same time, it is not excluded that reserves will be required in the near future for the Red-Liman direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine declares a sharp activation of Russian troops in this direction as well.
