The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have deployed the Volga armored train in the area of the special military operation. Its tasks include mine clearance and restoration of the railway. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Currently, the crew of the Volga armored train is engaged in technical reconnaissance, it is clearing sections of the track and the terrain around, as well as restoring the damaged railway.

The armored train itself is reinforced with weapons placed on armored platforms. Shelters are also equipped there, allowing you to defend yourself in case of an enemy attack. Special train cars have protection made of steel with a thickness of 10-20 millimeters. Inside they are lined with sandbags. The accompanying military personnel of the railway troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are armed with the most diverse small arms – from machine guns to large-caliber machine guns.
