This was announced on Monday by Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria.
"With the assistance of the Russian group of troops (forces), humanitarian aid continues to arrive from other countries within the framework of international cooperation. So, six cargo planes arrived in Syria from the United Arab Emirates yesterday, three of them to the Khmeimim airbase. In total, since February 7, 198 planes with humanitarian aid have arrived on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic from 19 foreign countries. Of these, 73 landed and were unloaded at the Russian airbase," he said.
According to Gurinov, more than 283 tons of humanitarian aid have been given to the population since February 7.
The deputy head of the CPVS added that Russian and Belarusian military doctors continue to provide the necessary medical assistance to victims of the earthquake in Syria, since February 17, more than 1.4 thousand people have received assistance.
