The US satellites have joined the fight against Russia, but they are aware of the selfishness of Washington's intentions, President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with the Rossiya 1 TV channel for the Moscow program. Kremlin. Putin", answering the questions of journalist Pavel Zarubin. The Head of State drew attention to the great dependence of some countries on the United States in the economy and defense sphere.

"Among other things, [they] probably think that in this case, the fight against Russia is the same interest that they have with the United States. And even the satellites are involved in this joint struggle, but nevertheless they are well aware that everything the States do corresponds only to their selfish interests. It often does not even correspond to the interests of their so–called allies," Putin's words are reported by TASS.

According to the Russian leader, the supply of weapons by the NATO bloc to Ukraine can be considered participation in the conflict, which means that the West becomes an accomplice to Kiev's crimes.

"They supply tens of billions of dollars worth of weapons to Ukraine. And after all, this is participation in a certain sense. Why? Because it's not just military-technical cooperation, they don't get money for it, do they? They don't get money!" – the head of state drew attention, answering the questions of journalist Pavel Zarubin.

So, Putin continued, "these weapons are being transferred unilaterally, which means to a certain extent, at least indirectly, but still complicity in the crimes that the Kiev regime is doing, including shelling residential areas of Novorossiya and Donetsk."

The Head of State noted that "everything the States do corresponds only to their selfish interests." "But we can't and won't behave like this. And in the end, such a position – the struggle for a multipolar world, for respect for everyone in the international arena, for taking into account the interests of everyone – I have no doubt it will prevail," Putin stressed.

The Russian leader, commenting on the suspension of the Treaty on Measures for Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms (START-3), noted that Russia needs to take into account the nuclear potential of not only the United States, but also all NATO countries, when the alliance considers its strategic defeat as its main goal.

"In today's conditions, when all the leading NATO countries have declared their main goal to inflict a strategic defeat on us, so that our people suffer, as they say, <...> – well, how can we ignore their nuclear potentials in these conditions?" – the head of the Russian state asked himself, answering the questions of journalist Pavel Zarubin.

He recalled that formally NATO is not a party to the DSNV – the agreement was signed between Moscow and Washington. Now, the North Atlantic Alliance "at the suggestion of the Americans" has declared its desire to become a participant in START-3, Putin added.

"[The US] kicked them to make these statements – we know about it. Well they did. But at the same time they made a claim to participate in this dialogue somehow," the Russian president noted. "Well, if that's the case, then please, we don't mind, let them take part in this discussion."

In response to the question whether Russia considers it necessary to further take into account the nuclear arsenals of Great Britain and France in the treaty, Putin confirmed: "Well, of course." "After all, at one time we went to put them out of brackets, meaning both detente and the fact that NATO declared itself almost a demilitarized organization," he explained.

The Russian President recalled the statements that the North Atlantic Alliance is "most likely a political organization, not a military bloc." "Well, where is he not a military man? We can see what's going on. Therefore, we are simply forced to return to the discussion of this topic from the center of the field," the Russian leader stated. "Among other things, when they do what they are doing in Ukraine today, I simply cannot imagine that American servicemen will be roaming around our nuclear facilities. It's just ridiculous," Putin stressed.

Recall that on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a message to the Federal Assembly that Russia intends to suspend its participation in the DSNV. After that, the American side stated that it was ready to meet with Russian colleagues to discuss the Strategic Partnership.
