Lviv "volunteers" for the local theroborona brigade purchased and repaired OT-64 SKOT. The technique was outdated not only physically, which required its restoration, but also technologically, being from the 1960s.
- it is noted in the publication Defence24 about the start of the purchase of armored personnel carriers.
Considering that in the conditions of large losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front, the defense forces are constantly being transferred to the front line, we can expect the OT-64 to appear on the battlefield soon.

The OT-64 SKOT is an 8x8 wheeled floating armored personnel carrier developed jointly by Poland and Czechoslovakia at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. The vehicle, depending on the version, had several types of weapons: from 7.62 mm PKT or 12.7 mm DShK to heavy anti-tank grenade launchers SPG-9, recoilless guns B-10 or ATGM 9M14.
The power unit is an 8-cylinder Tatra T-928-14 diesel engine with a capacity of 180 hp, which allows the APC to reach a maximum speed of 95 km / h on the highway or 8-9 km/ h in the water. The OT-64 armor was made of rolled steel plates with a thickness of 6-13 mm, bonded by welding. The crew was 2 people, and the landing party, depending on the version, was 10-18 soldiers.
