The Swedish Defense Ministry did not rule out sending tanks to Ukraine

According to Paul Johnson, Stockholm is also preparing to transfer the Archer self-propelled artillery system to KievSTOCKHOLM, February 23.

/tass/. The Swedish government will soon present a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. Defense Minister Paul Johnson does not rule out that Leopard tanks will be among the weapons and equipment being sent, the TT news agency reported on Thursday.

"We are open to this, and we have a close dialogue, in particular with Germany, on this issue," explained Jonson.

According to the minister, Sweden's main contribution to helping Ukraine with weapons is the already promised 50 Stridsfordon 90 infantry fighting vehicles. Preparations are also underway to send the Archer self-propelled artillery.
