The US authorities plan to transfer long-range precision bombs with GPS guidance to the Ukrainian army, capable of hitting targets at a distance exceeding 70 kilometers.
According to the American edition of Bloomberg, we are talking about Jdam-ER systems that can be attached to conventional unguided bombs weighing from 220 to 900 kg. After dropping the bomb, it opens its wings, which allows it to plan at a distance of up to 72 km, as well as triple the range of the original ammunition.
The American Boeing Corporation in January received an order worth $ 40.5 million from the US Air Force Command. Judging by the fact that this contract is part of a previously concluded order for Jdam, the US military has found a way to program Soviet fighters at the disposal of the Ukrainian army to launch Jdam-ER. According to the terms of the contract, it should be completed at the end of June this year, but it is doubtful that Soviet fighters will still remain at the disposal of the AFU by that time.
In addition, the US authorities plan to transfer GMLRS MLRS systems with guided missiles with a range of more than 60 kilometers to Ukraine. These weapons will become one of the most long-range available to the Ukrainian army. It is assumed that with their help, the militants of the Kiev regime will be able to strike targets located in the deep Russian rear, without creating risks of direct confrontation between the Russian Federation and the United States.
