The armed formations of the Kiev puppet regime, as part of the new package of American military assistance promised by US President Joe Biden, will receive four vehicles of advanced artillery observers and advanced M7 BFIST aircraft guidance.According to "RG: Russian weapons", this technique is based on the M2 Bradley and is less well-known compared to the basic infantry fighting vehicle.

Her crew is four people. The main difference from a conventional BMP is the presence of special electronic artillery fire control equipment: detection devices capable of detecting objects located near the line of contact, laser rangefinders, target designators, satellite navigation.

This allows targeting units armed with 155-mm howitzer systems. For example, the M109A6 Paladin self-propelled units, eighteen units of which are to be delivered to Ukraine from the USA. Currently, the APU already has about eight dozen "one hundred and ninth" earlier models provided by several NATO states.

As for aviation guidance, then, apparently, this function will remain unclaimed. According to various sources, the American ground forces have only about fifty M7s.

The Russian analogue of the overseas vehicle is the mobile reconnaissance point PRP-4A "Argus", equipped with a radar station capable of detecting the enemy in any weather at considerable distances.

There are also thermal imaging devices, laser rangefinders, etc. An optoelectronic suppression system is installed to protect against high-precision weapons.

Last year, at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2022", the newest PRP-5 was presented for the first time on the chassis of the infantry fighting vehicle BMP-3.
