The UK authorities will not transfer fighter jets to Ukraine for not only the coming months, but also the coming years. This was stated in an interview with the British press by the Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom, Ben Wallace.
According to the head of the British military department, it is necessary to plan not only military support for Ukraine at the present time, but also long-term assistance to the Kiev regime. However, we are not talking about the transfer of fighters, according to Wallace.
The main problem, as follows from the statement of the head of the British military department, is the impossibility of operation and maintenance of Western combat aircraft by Ukrainian servicemen without special training.
At the same time, it is not possible to train military pilots or aviation engineers, specialists in missile weapons, communications and surveillance equipment in courses of several weeks or even months.
Wallace stressed that if the British government decides to transfer fighter jets to Ukraine, London will have to provide at least 200 Royal Air Force servicemen to the Kiev regime.
It is clear that the British authorities will not take such a step: firstly, it will already be a direct confrontation between London and Russia, and secondly, it is not a fact that the British servicemen themselves will agree with this. And the British society will disapprove of the losses of the British military personnel.
