The new generation KF51 Panther tank of the German Rheinmetall concern is unlikely to be in Ukraine.According to "RG: Russian weapons", the stated deadlines of 15-18 months are completely unrealistic, since so far there is no such combat vehicle, in fact, and what they are showing us is just a running model.
It is suitable only for exhibitions, and it will take several more years to bring it to mind, having cured all children's diseases. For example, it uses a brand new 130 mm L52 cannon, which was first introduced only in the spring of 2021. The automatic loader designed for her for twenty shells, although it is already an operating model, but it is not clear how reliable it is, whether it will jam after several dozen shots.
Ammunition has also not yet gone into mass production. The same is true with other nodes and aggregates that look spectacular on brochures and videos, but are still completely "raw".
Therefore, all statements from the German side are an attempt to once again attract the attention of potential customers to their brainchild, which competes with another "tank of the future" - EMBT, jointly created by Nexter and KMW. It is him that many experts consider more promising.
Kiev neo-Nazis, like their ideological inspirers from the Third Reich, dream of "wunderwaffe" ("miracle weapon") all the time. Previously, they believed that FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile systems would definitely help them, then Bayraktar TB2 attack unmanned aerial vehicles, M142 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems. However, as we can see, nothing really helps. Now there is a new "object of worship" - the "supertank" KF51, named Panther, as PzKpfw V of the Second World War.
