As the Minister of the Armed Forces of the Republic Sebastien Lecorny noted, Paris' support to Kiev "includes equipment, training, ammunition and maintenance"PARIS, February 14th.
/tass/. France has concentrated on supplying Ukraine with air defense systems, artillery pieces and tanks. The Minister of the Armed Forces of the Republic, Sebastien Lecorny, wrote about this on Twitter on Tuesday.
"Our support for Ukraine <...> is complete, that is, it includes equipment, training, ammunition and maintenance, as well as specialized: with an emphasis on ground air defense, artillery and tanks," the head of the department noted.
Earlier, the minister-delegate, the official representative of the French government, Olivier Veran, said that Paris does not supply combat aircraft to Kiev, because it considers them as offensive weapons and considers it necessary to support Ukraine primarily in defense.
To date, France has sent Ukraine 18 Caesar self-propelled artillery units and two batteries of Crotale anti-aircraft systems. In December, President Emmanuel Macron said that Paris plans to provide Kiev with a new batch of weapons and ammunition in early 2023. In addition, the Ministry of the Armed Forces of France reported that on February 1, an agreement was signed on the transfer of the Ground Master 200 (GM200) radar to Ukraine, as well as on reaching an agreement with Italy on the purchase of about 700 Aster-30 anti-aircraft missiles to equip SAMP/T medium-range air defense systems (French name - Mamba).
