TSAMTO, February 9. Portugal will send three Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine in March. This, as RIA Novosti reports, was stated by the country's Prime Minister Antonio Costa.
"We are currently implementing a recovery and maintenance plan for Leopard-2 tanks. In accordance with the implementation of this plan, we will be able to send three of them in March this year," the Correio da Manha newspaper quotes the prime minister at a hearing in parliament.
The chief of the General Staff of the Portuguese Armed Forces, Admiral Antonio da Silva Ribeiro, said last month that Lisbon has 37 Leopard-2 tanks. According to local media, more than half of these machines are in a faulty condition.
