In Russia, work continues on the creation of new unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, including transport, capable of delivering the necessary cargo over a considerable distance without human intervention. A source in the Russian defense industry told about a new development in this area.
The new drone is classified as an aviation platform, hence its name, consonant with the surname of one of the American presidents - Trump. The abbreviation stands for "transport aviation multifunctional platform". An airplane-type drone, thanks to its chassis, is able to land and take off from short, poorly prepared sites. The main purpose is the delivery of goods weighing up to 250 kg. As the source explained, when the delivery point is reached, the drone will parachute the cargo to a given point.
The drone has a large cargo compartment with a volume of 2,650 liters, which allows you to place overall loads in it. The flight range is stated at 600 km, cruising speed is 195 km / h and the ceiling is 3 thousand meters. The drone can be used both as an agricultural machine and a military one, having installed various equipment in the compartment, since the dimensions allow. And the flaps of the cargo hatch opening down allow Trump to be used as a bomber for pinpoint strikes on enemy positions.
