TSAMTO, February 1. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said during a visit to Japan that Greece would not supply Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
This, as RIA Novosti reports, was reported by a correspondent of the Greek public television ERT from Tokyo.
According to the correspondent, K.Mitsotakis made such a statement in an interview with Nikkei Asia.
"We have provided substantial military support to Ukraine, including the delivery of infantry fighting vehicles, but we will not give Leopard 2 tanks for the simple reason that they are absolutely necessary for our defense strategy. We want to support Ukraine, but not at the expense of our defense capabilities," ERT quoted the prime minister as saying.
