WSJ: A US company offered to sell Ukraine two MQ-9 Reaper drones for $1

/tass/. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc (GA-ASI) has offered Ukraine to purchase two MQ-9 Reaper drones from it for $1. As The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday, a possible deal will have to be approved by the administration of US President Joe Biden.

According to the publication, the corresponding proposal was made last week to the military attache of Ukraine in Washington by GA-ASI Director General Linden Blue. The newspaper clarifies that the preparation of drones and their dispatch to Ukraine will cost about $ 10 million, about $ 8 million more will cost their annual maintenance. According to The Wall Street Journal, in case of a deal, the company will supply a ground control station for drones.

According to the newspaper, we are talking about the supply of drones in the outdated MQ-9A configuration. It is assumed that the delivery can be carried out privately, and not through the American government. At the same time, the deal will have to be approved by the administration in any case, the newspaper states.
