The Russian Defense Ministry has information about numerous facts of the use of psychostimulants and narcotic drugs by the Ukrainian military, such as methadone and amphetamine. This was announced at a briefing on January 30 by the head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops (RCBZ) The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Igor Kirillov.
"The Ministry of Defense of Russia has received information about numerous facts of the use of psychostimulants and narcotic drugs by Ukrainian servicemen — methadone, amphetamine. The facts of smuggling morphine into the areas of combat missions have been revealed," Kirillov said.
He also said that the United States conducted experiments related to HIV infection on the territory of Ukraine. According to him, the active actions of the Russian Defense Ministry helped to stop the implementation of US military biological programs on Ukrainian territory.
On January 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law toughening the responsibility of the military for non-compliance with orders, escape from the battlefield or from a military unit.
The need to adopt the law was explained by its authors — deputies of the "Servant of the People" faction — by cases of desertion, disobedience, refusal to carry out combat orders, drunkenness and drug addiction even in a combat situation.
