TSAMTO, January 27. Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft (FFG) has signed a contract with Pearson Engineering for the supply of mine clearance equipment intended for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As reported by Euro-SD.com, the contract was concluded within the framework of an agreement between Ukraine and FFG, funded by the initiative of the German government.
According to the German government, a total of 42 mine clearance vehicles are planned to be delivered to Ukraine by the end of the year. The exact schedule has not yet been published. It is known that Bergepanzer 2 or Wisent 1 armored recovery vehicles are suitable as a base for installing new equipment.
According to Pearson Engineering, mine clearance equipment is installed in the front of the tank chassis and causes the detonation of mines, creating a passage in the minefields. The plow has a mechanical principle of chassis power take-off.
