/tass/. The Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), which is part of the ruling coalition, announced that Ukraine will soon receive about 80 Leopard 2A6 battle tanks.
"In close coordination with other heads of state and government, our Federal Chancellor has formed an alliance to take further necessary and responsible steps. It is expected that two battalions (about 80 main battle tanks in total) Leopard 2A6 should be delivered [to Kiev] as soon as possible," the SPD wrote on its Twitter page on Wednesday.
