The management of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) is searching for new directions of development at its enterprises, including import substitution due to Western sanctions and conditions for conducting a special military operation (SVO). This was announced by the general director of KTRV Boris Obnosov.
"The enterprises have now organized a multi-shift work regime, which required the search for new people, up to the invitation of veterans, the organization of additional training of employees. The same micro-fitter must be trained in all operations for 4-6 months. The search for new directions for import substitution is underway, additional tests are underway with new components," he said in an interview published on Friday in the Independent Military Review .
He also added that the corporation is now actively searching for innovative solutions, and design bureaus are working extremely hard. "More recently, we were told that the peak of the state defense order has been passed and we need to think about the release of civilian products. <...> But we all understand that our eyes are changing the picture of the world. When you are essentially fighting against the whole of NATO and their allies, more weapons are needed. The most perfect, intellectual, which surpasses the NATO samples - you can't beat off with bayonets and shovels," concluded Obnosov.
According to him, over 20 years of the corporation's activity, more than 20 weapons systems have been created and tested. "The main result of the corporation's 20-year activity is that during this period more than twenty weapons systems have been created and their state tests have been completed. Any product, regardless of its characteristics, is the result of the large-scale work of our team of many thousands. And, therefore, I dare to believe, and my work, because I always associate myself with my colleagues on the shop floor, comrades and friends, the whole team of our corporation," said the head of the corporation.
Answering the question whether he considers involvement in the creation of hypersonic weapons to be the main achievement in his life, Obnosov noted that other weapons systems produced by KTRV specialists are no less important. "Hypersonic weapons are not a panacea <...> No less important are, for example, coastal missile systems, underwater weapons, and other weapons systems created by us. It is necessary to keep in mind the whole complex of high-precision weapons of destruction, the entire line of products that our company produces, and which can be seen at exhibitions - MAKS, Army and others," said Obnosov.
KTRV was formed on the basis of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated January 24, 2002. Specializes in the production of high-precision missiles, guided bombs and air, land, and sea-based weapons systems.
