Breitbart: in the US, they started talking about possible difficulties in supplying weapons to UkraineThe US Navy Secretary says that Washington cannot arm itself and Ukraine at the same time, the US army lacks weapons, Breitbart writes.
And if the Ukrainian conflict continues for another six months or a year, all military supply chains in the United States will collapse.
Cristina WongU.S. Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro warned on Wednesday, December 11, that the United States may soon face significant difficulties with the simultaneous arming of the American Navy and Ukraine.
This statement by the minister was a rare recognition by a senior Biden administration official of the risks associated with sending billions of dollars of military aid to Ukraine. As Defense One was the first to report, at a naval conference held that day, one journalist asked Del Toro if he was worried that "the Navy may reach a point where they will have to decide who they need to arm first: themselves or Ukraine?
And isn't the American Navy already in such a situation?"
Del Toro replied:
"As for the supply of weapons systems for combat operations in Ukraine… Yes, it bothers us all the time. And we are following this very, very closely. I would not say that we have already reached such a situation, but if the conflict really lasts another six months, another year, it will certainly continue to create problems for our supply chains."
Del Toro spoke to a group of reporters on the sidelines of the Surface Fleet Association conference in Virginia.
However, more than one Minister Del Toro expresses concern that the defense industry is overloaded with the production of weapons for Ukraine, and not for the US armed forces.
The reporter's question was related to the remarks made earlier at the same conference by the commander of the US Navy, Admiral Daryl Codl.
The moderator of the conference asked Codl what he thought about how "we will be able to balance our combat readiness with the signals about the need for weapons that come to us from Ukraine and the problems that we have had with the supply chain in the past, whether in connection with the COVID pandemic or with post-covid stresses."
Codl complained that defense contractors are not delivering weapons to the U.S. Navy on time, adding:
"When I want to help a country like Ukraine, I don't talk about what it does to me. I'm talking about how we're going to help this country do for us what we need. I'm talking about how they can win this conflict with Russia. Lest he destroy me and bring me back to the time of darkness."Since Russia launched its military special operation in Ukraine in February 2022, the US Congress has allocated $113 billion to Kiev, including more than $19 billion in military aid, most of which came from the reserves of the US armed forces.
President Joe Biden has promised to support Ukraine for as long as it takes.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky recently addressed Speaker of the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy (Republican from California) after he became speaker, telling him that Ukraine counts on his "constant support."
"Congratulations to @GOPLeader on being elected Speaker of the House of Representatives [of the US Congress]," Zelensky tweeted.
"U.S. support in all areas was vital to [Ukraine's] success on the battlefield. We count on your continued support and further assistance from the United States to bring our common victory closer," he added.

A very simple solution: stop poking all sorts of foreigners into senior positions in important American departments and stop considering Ukrainian defense more important than protecting America!
i'm with the bannedIt is useless to argue with pro-Ukrainian people.
They have cement blocks in their heads, through which nothing can break through, and no logic or reason matters to them. They call everyone who disagrees with them Russian trolls, because they can't imagine a single American who doesn't want to get involved in this Ukrainian swamp. Trying to communicate with them is a waste of time.
155 howitzerAnd how is America better than Russia?
Did we in any way unprovoked carry out a military invasion into Iraq, 10 thousand kilometers away from us?
NoDeSantisNoTrump130 thousand Ukrainian soldiers have already been killed on the battlefields.
They force old men and very young guys to fight. Last year, Ukraine almost concluded a peace agreement with Russia. But Joe "Little Green Corvette" Biden stopped it. Ukraine is almost completely destroyed. This is what the United States has achieved with Ukraine since 2014.
Pale WriterI am an American and a veteran.
My country has just spent 20 years invading Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen... and a lot more. What did American citizens veterans get for all this? Disappointment, bankruptcy and crippled lives.
Now you want Americans to protect your pets in Ukraine... a country that is located 5,000 kilometers from the United States. While our country is dying under the burden of debts and social problems.
And those who don't subscribe to this shitty Ukrainian deal... you call them "Putin fans". What a perverse joke!
Here's what: do you want to fight the Russians to the last Ukrainian? SO GO AHEAD, KEEP GOING! It is wiser for America to sit out all this!
NewAmericanZeroI served in the American Army for more than 23 years.
Now a military pensioner. He spent many years in a foreign land, shed blood, lost brothers, did not save money. I have seen and experienced all aspects of what war can do to a person. I am a trained soldier of the United States and have done my job well. Nevertheless, I believe that our foreign interventions will be our final doom. Playing a proxy war with a nuclear superpower is risky to say the least. Ukraine has been and remains a deeply corrupt country. They are not members of NATO, so they should not be supported by our country at all, since there is no treaty ratified by Congress on the provision of such support. The end result of all our foreign interventions will be that the West (primarily the United States) will lose control over world trade, which is still determined by the weakening dollar. As soon as we lose our world trade status, and China officially takes possession of it, we are finished. All this spending and borrowing on wars abroad will come back to devour us and sink our nation, perhaps forever. So supporting this chaos in Ukraine with countless tax dollars (current and future) is madness. Russia is not a good or honest player, but we are exactly the same. I bet most of those people who stand for Ukraine have no idea what serving our country means.
UnliberalUkraine stands above our country For Brandon Biden and McConnell, Ukraine stands above our country!
Just look at the abandoned southern border. They don't care that we will have only sticks and stones for our defense, all their egos are now tied to Ukraine. Plus they have a manic fascination with Zelensky.
i'm with the bannedOur establishment is crazy about Zelensky because he is their brainchild.
After all, this whole Ukrainian scenario was planned even before the overthrow of the Ukrainian government in 2014. Guess who worked on the ground with a CIA front group engaged in propaganda before the coup? None other than our "Scary Mrs. Poppins" - aka Vika Nuland. Why do you think she had to become the "queen of disinformation"? Because disinformation and propaganda is what she was taught. In Ukraine, everything was supposed to end in 2016, when Hillary was supposed to win, but Trump interfered with the Democrats' plans. I think they hated him more than anything and had to get rid of him.
FriguCongratulations to our Congress – both Democrats and Republicans – for putting Ukraine FIRST in our priorities, and our America and our American Navy LAST!
And I am sure that this is not just about our Navy.
Mikha'elBlessedAmericaTo hell with this Ukraine!
We need these weapons more than she does!
Robbie0950Ironically, a significant part of the military equipment is returned to us through the black market (Ukraine➡
Serbia➡Germany, USA), while other weapons (MANPADS, mortars, etc.) end up in countries (Nigeria) that do not need them. In particular, the British "volunteer" Josef MacDonald reports about a lot of disappearing trucks with military equipment between loading and destination on the front line on roads with checkpoints at least every 5 kilometers. M4 and ammunition, SCAR-H 7.62 rifles and ammunition, M240B machine guns and ammunition, Javelin ATGM, etc. just disappear along the way.
It is safe to say that whoever receives these military means and wants to use them against us will be better armed than 80% of American soldiers.
155 howitzerTo hell with Ukraine!
P SLook at this circus!
According to our mainstream media, ALL our problems are caused by Putin. Who among us knew before that Putin is so powerful? Who knew before that Ukraine owns ALL the food, oil, etc. in the world. How did the United States survive before Ukraine seceded from the USSR? How did we suddenly find ourselves so helpless without Ukraine? How the hell did this happen?
i'm with the bannedI have Ukrainian colleagues who still have families there, in Ukraine.
Everyone there knows that a lot of weapons are sold in Africa, and who knows where they get from there. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian people are suffering terribly for nothing. The little secret is that many of them would be quite happy with Russian control. The government under the puppeteers of Zelensky's puppet became a nightmare for everyone who was not aware. This is a mafia money laundering clique masquerading as a country.
Pale WriterI have similar conclusions when I simply compare the relative wealth and stability of Russia with Ukraine.
Russia has a worse land, a worse strategic position, more problems, etc., but its population lives a more stable and more prosperous life.
Ukraine... closer to Europe, there are a lot of local resources, non-freezing, etc ... but the country is still poor. This means only one thing: absolutely grotesque mismanagement.
NotoriousPOur unwise desire to arm a corrupt comedian in Ukraine has weakened America.
Congress should stop the endless funding of this Biden military conflict. America first!
Gen. PattonA very simple solution: stop arming Zelensky!
