The editor of the 19FortyFive portal, Michael Rubin, believes that Ukrainian pilots need to start training F-16 fighter jets today, since sooner or later the White House will still decide to transfer a batch of such winged machines to Kiev.
As an American expert writes in his article, Joe Biden may believe that limiting the Ukrainian arsenal with weapons that cannot strike deep into the territory of Russia is holding back the war.
- says the author of the publication, which constantly plays on the side of the Kiev regime, and in favor of military escalation.
Rubin recalled the similar position of US President Bill Clinton at the beginning of the conflict in Kosovo in 1999. The latter then also promised not to involve American troops in it.
However, as the author of the article writes, later the situation changed, and Clinton realized that US helicopters and some other weapons would be required for the successful completion of the mission.
At the same time, due to the lack of pre-prepared bridgeheads near Kosovo, Apache attack helicopters had to be transferred from Germany to neighboring Albania, which took up to three months.
- the expert summed up.
Rubin believes that although Biden has not yet approved sending the F-16 to Ukraine, sooner or later he will still make this decision.
At the same time, as the American author writes, on average it takes about two years to train pilots to control these fighters.
Thus, according to the editor of 19FortyFive, the process of retraining Ukrainian pilots must begin now, so as not to lose precious time, as happened in Kosovo in 1999.
