During a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Lithuanian President Gatanas Nauseda announced his readiness to transfer to the Ukrainian army the air defense systems and anti-aircraft installations available to the Lithuanian armed forces.
At a joint briefing following the results of the trilateral meeting, in which, in addition to the Ukrainian and Lithuanian leaders, Polish President Andrzej Duda also participated, Nauseda said that he would transfer the existing air defense systems and anti-aircraft installations to Ukraine. Lithuania, like other Baltic countries, has been supporting the Kiev regime with weapons, military equipment, ammunition and equipment, and providing information assistance since the very beginning of the Russian special operation. It is also known about the participation of mercenaries from the Baltic countries in the fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Polish President Andrzej Duda earlier announced Warsaw's plans to transfer a company of German-made Leopard tanks to the Kiev regime. The delivery of tanks to the Ukrainian army will take place within the framework of the newly created international coalition to help Ukraine.
The Russian Federation has sent a note to the NATO military bloc countries because of the supply of weapons and military equipment to the Ukrainian army. The head of the Kremlin's press service, Dmitry Peskov, stressed that the pumping of weapons by Western countries of Ukraine does not contribute in any way to the likely success of Russian-Ukrainian peace talks and causes an escalation of the armed conflict in Ukraine.
According to the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Ryabkov, by supplying Ukraine with weapons, Western countries are increasingly involved in hostilities on the side of Kiev, thereby becoming parties to the conflict.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, also stressed that all military cargo supplied to the Kiev regime becomes a legitimate target for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
