Russia may repeat massive attacks with kamikaze drones, as it will allegedly receive new batches of drones in the near future. This was stated by the official representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadim Skibitsky.
According to the military official, Russia has already used 660 kamikaze drones, and 1750 drones are planned to be delivered. Recall that both Russia and Iran do not recognize the information disseminated by the Ukrainian media about the supply of Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles for units of the Russian army participating in a special military operation as reliable.
But more interesting are the arguments of a representative of the Ukrainian military intelligence about the tactics of the use of drones by the Russians, which helps drones bypass air defense systems or break through the protection of airspace. Skibitsky emphasizes that the massive swarm of drones aims precisely to break through the air defense system. If you launch a small number of drones, for example, 5-10 pieces, then the effect will not be achieved, they will be shot down by air defense systems.
In addition, the Russian military, launching drones, use different heights and different directions, Skibitsky noted. In particular, they are changing the areas from where drones are launched towards Ukrainian infrastructure facilities. According to Ukrainian military intelligence, drones have recently been launched from the coast of the Sea of Azov, which is under the control of Russian troops, and before that, sites on the Crimean Peninsula were used to launch UAVs.
Yesterday, the tactics of the use of unmanned aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were commented on by the representative of the Air Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat. He claims that drones are launched along the Dnieper riverbed, and their main target is the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
