Tests of a new parachute system being created for Russian paratroopers were reported back in 2021. In the spring of that year, a group of Russian servicemen made a landing from a height of 6 thousand meters. During the landing, special equipment developed within the framework of the Junker-O ROC was used, including a special-purpose parachute system "Steyer" and a set of oxygen equipment "OXY Height". All equipment of domestic production allows you to jump at an aircraft speed of up to 350 kilometers per hour from heights from 700 meters to 10 kilometers.
In general, several parachute systems were developed within the framework of the Junker-O ROC, including the Junker-PPSS ("Dog's suspended Parachute System"). It allows you to land a service dog weighing up to 45 kg with a dog handler from a height of up to 4 km. The tests have shown that the dog behaves quite adequately in the new suspension system.
