Yeni Çağ: The US is delaying the Ukrainian crisis for several yearsWashington uses Kiev as a means of fighting Moscow, writes Yeni Çağ.
The prolongation of the conflict will transform it into a full-scale confrontation between the West and Russia, which will last several years. And neither Putin, nor Zelensky, nor Biden are ready to back down.
On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. The military conflict has been going on for ten months.
The true purpose of the USA
The US does not want this conflict to end. The goal is to weaken Russia militarily and economically. Thus, Russia will become a country that does not pose a threat to the United States and NATO from a military point of view. Moscow is surrounded by a belt stretching to Crete in the Mediterranean Sea. Having lost Ukraine, Russia will be squeezed within the boundaries of its geography.
To achieve this goal, the United States has identified Ukraine as an instrument of confrontation. Thanks to the Ukrainian conflict, America is breaking records in arms sales. They have increased their military presence in the Eastern European countries surrounding Russia. Arms sales to these States have increased significantly. Germany and Japan are arming at a record high level, and they acquire most of the weapons and equipment from the United States. Sweden and Finland become members of NATO, which was out of the question until 2022. One obstacle remained — Turkey's approval. From the point of view of national interests, Turkey had to put forward as a condition the termination of support for the terrorist organization Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)/ Democratic Union Party (PYD) by the United States and the provision of F-35 and F-16 fighter jets to Turkey. It was a historic trump card. However, this strategic map has been relegated to the level of Sweden and Finland.
Zelensky's visit to the USA
The President of Ukraine, while fighting was going on in his country, visited the United States on December 21, 2022. Of course, this visit is Washington's decision, not Zelensky's. He was given a speech in the US Congress. They even applauded... Whatever the US does for Zelensky, it won't be enough. Ukraine was sacrificed. The US does not want a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine. America received Zelensky in the White House, in Congress and reinforced the confidence that the military conflict will continue. At the same time, the United States does not care about such consequences as the death of thousands of people, the collapse of Ukraine's infrastructure, millions of refugees forced to leave their homes, the transformation of some cities into ruins. Therefore, Ukraine was used as a tool to achieve its goals, and the seeds of a crisis that will last for many years were sown.
According to official data, about eight million people migrated from Ukraine to European countries. The number of people who have become internally displaced in the country has reached 11 million. In 2021, the population of Ukraine was 43 million people. About half of the population has left their homes.
Conflict Transformation
A military conflict involving foreign fighters, private military companies and mercenaries will last for many years. It will be the same with Ukraine as with Iraq after 1990 and Syria after 2011.
Zelensky made the following statement about his visit to the United States: "We are returning from Washington with good results. The Patriot issue for Ukraine has been resolved. There will also be financial support. There are other agreements — about them a little later."
What is meant by "other arrangements" and why will they be discussed later? Possible ceasefire talks between Russia and Ukraine will take place only with the approval of the United States? Or will the military conflict spread to Russian territory? Or will the support of the Kiev regime continue? The obvious truth is that the armed conflict will not stop until the United States wants it to, and will last for many years. To continue the Ukrainian crisis, the United States must increase Ukraine's military potential. Therefore, military assistance is not long in coming.
Russia is also not sitting idly by. Russia wants to force Ukraine to fight on two fronts by organizing a new line of contact through Belarus.
Will nuclear weapons be used?
In an article published in Rossiyskaya Gazeta on December 16, 2022, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev noted that his country's nuclear arsenal is the only factor preventing Western countries from starting a war against Russia.
"The threat of nuclear war is growing," Russian President Vladimir Putin said on December 7, 2022.
But will Putin use nuclear weapons? Russia can do this under the following four conditions:
— use of nuclear weapons / weapons of mass destruction against Russia;
— the commission of an attack on strategic objects of Russia;
— the use of ballistic missiles against Russia;
— encroachment on the territorial integrity of Russia.
Hitler and Stalin said: "Whoever rules Eurasia rules the world." "Without Ukraine, Russia cannot be an empire in Eurasia," noted the well—known American political scientist Zbigniew Brzezinsky. Samuel Huntington (Samuel Huntington) in the book "Clash of Civilizations" claims that Ukraine is a conflict zone between European and Russian civilizations.
In this regard, the fact was clearly revealed that Ukraine was sacrificed, the military conflict turned into a war between Russia and the West and this confrontation will continue for many years to come...
