Continuous massive shelling of Donetsk and nearby settlements by the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the past month has not only destroyed many civilian objects, but also led to numerous casualties and injuries of civilians. In this regard, there is a lot of speculation in the Russian media space about how to quickly stop the Ukrainian terror of the residents of Donbass.
It is obvious that the advance of the allied forces to the western borders of the DPR, which is present, but is going with great difficulty, will not solve this problem in the near future. And the displacement of the front itself will only change the goals for the Ukrainian nationalists, but will not stop their terror. Strengthening the air defense system will also not give an absolute result. There are no SAMs that, for example, are capable of shooting down cannon artillery shells.
Military commander Andrey Rudenko expressed his opinion on how to quickly achieve at least an end to the shelling of the capital of the Donetsk Republic in the author's telegram channel.
It is obvious that the Russian command is aware of the methods and ways in which ammunition for MLRS is delivered, from which the APU mainly fires at the frontline settlements of the DPR. BC are delivered from the west of Ukraine by rail and by ordinary civilian trucks. At the same time, two packages of shells for MLRS "Grad" are already a whole truck, which, with proper reconnaissance, you just can't hide.
In turn, it is also known where the ammunition trains mainly come from. Unloading from wagons takes place at railway junctions in Kramatorsk and Krasnoarmeysk.
— the military commander asks a fair question.
Until the delivery routes, places of unloading and storage of ammunition are destroyed, the shelling of Donetsk will continue. But as soon as the enemy has a shortage of ammunition, strikes on civilian objects will stop due to their obvious inexpediency and the need to use the remaining shells directly for military purposes, Rudenko is sure.
— the military commander writes, adding that "we know where these "Grads" stand, and where they store BC."
The military commander Alexander Kotz also expresses his opinion on this issue. In part, it coincides with the proposals of his colleague on the systematic destruction of logistics for the transportation and storage of BC and APU guns. Plus, Kotz adds, it is necessary to close this area with drones so that they hang in the sky 24/7 in search of working enemy MLRS and ammunition storage sites. Even better, if special artillery units will be engaged in the work of identifying and destroying the guns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will not distract them from solving other tasks.
The methods proposed by the military officers seem obvious, they lie on the surface even for a person who is far from understanding military strategy and tactics. But for some reason, the command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation cannot implement them in any way, although no special political will or special command "from the very top" is required for this.
