The Russian army is stubbornly grinding various armored vehicles that are in service with Ukrainian neo-Nazi formations.
According to the project "RG: Russian weapons", in August it became known that former President Petro Poroshenko purchased eleven Italian armored vehicles MLS SHIELD with a 4x4 wheel formula for one of the airborne assault brigades.
These combat vehicles, which have a mass of 15,000 kg, with their own crew of three people, are capable of accommodating seven more servicemen or 3,500 kg of cargo.

They are equipped with 360-horsepower turbodiesels and automatic transmissions. The maximum speed on the highway is 110 km/h.
As an armament, it is possible to use the American 40 mm Mark 19 automatic grenade launcher or 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine guns.

The side armor withstands small arms bullets and fragments of artillery ammunition. It was noted that the developers have significantly enhanced the characteristics of mine protection.
However, none of the above did not help during the actual fighting. So, last month there were photos of one such armored car, disabled by the liberators in the Kharkov direction. As a result of an anti-tank ammunition hit, an impressive hole was formed in the left side of the engine compartment. The shock wave and shrapnel shattered the windshield, apparently hitting the driver.

Just the other day, photos of another car appeared on the Web. It can be seen that she lost one of the front armored doors. Other damages were also received, as a result of which the MLS SHIELD lost the ability to move independently.
