The crews of multi-purpose Su-35S fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces worked out the tasks of air patrol and cover for assault aircraft in a given area, as well as army aviation helicopters when air strikes were carried out on military facilities and equipment of Ukrainian militants in the zone of a special operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass. Footage of combat sorties was shared by the Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday, December 13.
"During the execution of a combat mission in the duty zone in the air, I discovered an aerial target, captured the target, then received permission to work on this target, launched and continued the flight to control the airspace. After the estimated time of the missile meeting with the target, the tag disappeared. Then I performed a lapel and re—entry - I did not observe any more marks. Upon arrival, I received confirmation from the ground that the target was hit," the Su—35S fighter pilot said.
Flights of fighter jets of the Russian Aerospace Forces are carried out with suspended missiles of various classes. When an aerial target was detected, the fighter crew identified it as an enemy aircraft and destroyed it with missile weapons.
