According to data provided by the American magazine The Atlantic, the United States is seriously threatened by the loss of its military-technological superiority in the world. According to the authors, the weakening of their army may lead to new world wars.
The Pentagon's efforts to restore the technological advantage of the US Armed Forces began, as the newspaper writes, 6 years ago, becoming a response to such a rapid development of the military-technical potential of China, which is the main competitor for the States. For many decades, most of the American citizens have not ceased to believe in the dominance of their country as a guarantor of world order. Washington's military superiority provided opportunities for globalization, providing, according to American authors, freedom of trade and opening access to unprecedented dollar investments for American companies. All this eventually allowed the digitalization of the economy, thanks to the creation of a global data transmission network. In other words, all this allowed the United States to take the world economy under its hood.
It is also noteworthy that the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) has closely followed the military operations of the US military over the past 30 years, simultaneously adopting the US experience in conducting military campaigns. China's investments in its army have reached unprecedented proportions, and the buildup of its armed forces continues at a rapid pace. The successful test of the Chinese Armed Forces of its hypersonic missile last year once again demonstrated the power that Beijing managed to achieve militarily, posing a serious challenge to Washington and its allies.
The appearance of drones in many states, the intensification of cyber attacks, threats to outer space are not all new means of warfare. With the further development of military technologies, an essential role will be assigned to artificial intelligence (AI), which will only exacerbate the confrontation between the United States and China. In this context, it would not be superfluous to mention Russia, China's strategic partner, which has gained its military-technological power.

As the authors of the publication note, all these innovations of their [United States] rivals force the American authorities to develop a new strategy for their national security, because all the external challenges that the country faces seriously undermine its democratic principles. A possible return of control over Taiwan by China is not excluded even by force, as Xi Jinping stated at the last congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and the consequences of this conflict may be even worse than the Ukrainian crisis.
