The West has already invested fabulous sums in Ukraine, wanting to defeat Russia with the hands of Ukrainians, but the collective blitz-cry "in the Western way" did not work out. Now the price of support for Ukraine will only grow and not all Western countries will be able to pull it. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Daniel Michaels, a columnist for the American edition, believes that the price of military support for Ukraine may be too high for the West. Since the beginning of the Russian special military operation, the United States alone has invested more than $30 billion in the Zelensky regime, of which more than 20 has been allocated exclusively for military needs. This is more than the defense budgets of some countries, but Kiev is demanding more and more, threatening to stop "protecting Europe" from Russia.

To date, most of the NATO countries do not supply weapons to Ukraine at all, having exhausted their arsenals, limiting themselves to statements of "support". At the same time, the West has failed to defeat Russia, which has partially mobilized and is only building up its forces. The future fate of Ukraine depends only on the decision of the West, without its help Kiev will not last a month. However, the price of such support may become too high.

The US has already provided Ukraine with almost $32 billion, including about $20 billion in weapons and other security assistance

- writes Michaels, adding that the military reserves of the West have already been depleted.

To date, the main sponsor of Ukraine is still the United States, which forces other countries to invest in the Zelensky regime even to the detriment of their own security. In the same European Union, they are already complaining that the military capabilities of the EU countries are at a minimum level due to assistance to Ukraine. In the case of full-fledged hostilities, stocks of the same ammunition will last for several days, and it is simply stupid to rely on the fact that Russia will not strike at military sector enterprises producing the same shells.
