TSAMTO, December 9. The drones used by Ukraine to attack two Russian military airfields were upgraded with the participation of the American corporation Raytheon Technologies.
Konstantin Gavrilov, head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, told RIA Novosti, commenting on the possible involvement of NATO countries in the attack.
"During 2022, work was carried out at the Kharkiv Aviation Plant to modernize the mentioned UAVs with the participation of specialists from the Kiev Design Bureau "Luch" and the American corporation Raytheon Technologies. The flight range of this drone is up to 1000 km. It is clear in which direction it was planned to be used," the head of the delegation told RIA Novosti.
According to K. Gavrilov, "it is well known that the vast majority of targets targeted by neo-Nazis are determined by the Western masters of the Kiev regime." "So the mentioned Tu-141 Strizh UAVs are aimed at the target using the American global GPS satellite system. By the way, the United States and its allies have been actively using various space systems for intelligence and information support of the Armed Forces for a long time, including in order to reveal the locations, routes of movement and actions of Russian troops. In fact, in Ukraine, in real combat conditions, new methods are being worked out for the use of civilian satellite groups as an element of the command of the US Armed Forces," he stressed.
According to K. Gavrilov, "NATO members are not at all concerned that this could provoke significant risks for peaceful space activities and shake its international legal foundations," the agency notes.
