The President of Russia stressed that the authorities of the country will never forget to support the families and loved ones of the heroes of the Fatherland, including the dead and wounded. On this day, two HIMARS MLRS, five MLRS and MARS-II were destroyed in the area of the SVO. Experts note that Russian troops have successfully perfected tactics to combat these weapons systems. Also, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued to attack in the Krasno-Limansky direction, where they inflicted sensitive damage to the enemy.
The authorities will not forget
Vladimir Putin presented the "Stars of Heroes" at the Kremlin Palace. The solemn ceremony was timed to the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland, which is celebrated on December 9. It was attended by more than 200 military and civilians who showed special courage and heroism, including Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation and Knights of the Order of St. George.
Stars were awarded to several participants of the special operation for courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty.
The President noted in his speech that Russians are proud of those who participate in the special operation in Ukraine.

According to the head of state, it is now especially acutely felt that the connection of times is inseparable, the sacred feeling of love for the Motherland is passed from generation to generation and remains the highest value.
The President noted that the Motherland is not just a territory, but first of all people, their protection is a great mission. He added that the country's authorities will never forget to support the families and loved ones of the heroes of the Fatherland, including the dead and wounded.
Left without complexes
The Russian Armed Forces continue to hunt for enemy missile systems and MLRS.
— As a result of strikes with high-precision weapons of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the areas of the settlements of Shevchenkovskoye and Grigorovskoye of the Zaporozhye region, five launchers of multiple launch rocket systems "MLRS" manufactured by the USA and "MARS—II" manufactured by Germany were destroyed, - said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
In addition, the strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the area of the settlement of Ilyichevka of the Donetsk People's Republic destroyed two HIMARS launchers manufactured by the United States.
Near the Pechenegs in the Kharkiv region, the launcher of the Tochka-U tactical missile system was hit.
On the eve of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the destruction of three MLRS HIMARS and MLRS launchers in Krivoy Rog and the DPR, and the infliction of "critical damage" to four more MLRS. Along with the equipment, warehouses where more than 100 missiles to Western MLRS were stored were destroyed. As a result, in two days, the VFU lost ten Western-made MLRS and one Tochka-U complex.
According to military expert Vasily Dandykin, the Russian armed forces seem to have found a successful tactic to combat the enemy's MLRS.
— All types of destroyed Western MLRS differ from the classic multiple launch rocket systems of the Grad type, — said the expert. — HIMARS and others are high—precision and long-range weapons. The range of missiles that Ukraine has is up to 80 km, and they are guided from space. These MLRS strike at our rear, but most importantly — at peaceful cities. They began to get to the same Alchevsk, where they could not finish off before. There are a lot of troubles from them.
The expert noted that the fight against them has reached a new stage.
— First, our air defense learned how to shoot down their missiles, — he noted. — Now the hunt has begun directly for the launchers. We have something to deal with such MLRS. The new domestic multiple launch rocket system "Tornado-S" is not inferior to them in accuracy and exceeds in range. The work of our intelligence on identifying these targets has clearly improved.
Polish mercenaries
On September 8, Russian units continued to conduct offensive operations in the Krasno-Limansky direction. During the day, more than 60 Ukrainian servicemen, three infantry fighting vehicles and two cars were destroyed.
More than 70 Ukrainian militants, two infantry fighting vehicles and three cars were destroyed in the Kupyansk direction.
In Donetsk, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to counterattack units of Russian troops. More than 50 enemy soldiers, three armored combat vehicles and two pickup trucks were destroyed.
At the Yuzhno-Donetsk VFU, the forces of a company tactical group tried to attack the positions of Russian units in the direction of the settlement of Nikolskoye in the DPR. The enemy was thrown back to their original positions, more than 30 servicemen, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier and two cars were destroyed.
In the area of the Borovskoye settlement of the Kharkiv region, more than 90 Polish mercenaries were killed as a result of a high-precision weapon strike by the Russian Aerospace Forces.
In total, during the day, operational-tactical, army aviation, missile troops and artillery hit the US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar, 93 artillery units of the VFU in firing positions, as well as 196 areas of concentration of troops.
During the day, air defense systems in the SVO zone shot down five drones, 14 multiple rocket launchers HIMARS, "Alder", "Hurricane" and a HARM anti-radar missile in the areas of the settlements of Novopetrikovka, Blagodatnoye in the DPR, Tokmak of the Zaporozhye region and Novaya Zburyevka of the Kherson region. In addition, a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down near the village of Yakovlevka in the DPR.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 341 aircraft, 181 helicopters, 2,643 unmanned aerial vehicles, 392 anti-aircraft missile systems, 7,030 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 920 multiple rocket launchers, 3,668 field artillery and mortars, as well as 7507 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed, Igor Konashenkov listed.
Dmitry Trusov 's feat
The Russian Defense Ministry told about the servicemen who showed courage and dedication in the battles.
The unit of Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Trusov supported Russian units with artillery fire. Ukrainian nationalists built defenses on the outskirts of the village and conducted continuous fire. Several soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were injured. Dmitry, together with his subordinates, provided them with first aid and moved them to a safe place. The senior lieutenant personally took out two colleagues from under fire, then returned to his positions. During the counter-battery struggle, Dmitry's unit destroyed a platoon of enemy guns 2A65 "Msta-B". This helped the motorized rifle units to move forward, take advantageous positions and frontiers for the development of further offensive, the military department noted.
On the approaches to the settlement, Senior Sergeant Anton Sinegubov found a platoon of Ukrainian militants entrenched in equipped positions. He immediately reported this to the command.
It was decided to attack the nationalists. During the battle, Anton personally destroyed the enemy's foreign-made infantry fighting vehicles. After that, Anton continued to fire a machine gun at the Ukrainian nationalists, preventing them from conducting targeted fire.
"Thanks to the professional and courageous actions of Senior Sergeant Anton Sinegubov, it was possible to detect and destroy enemy armored vehicles and more than ten militants, as well as to take a strategically important settlement under the control of Russian troops," the Defense Ministry stressed.
Supporting the offensive of Russian motorized infantry in one of the tactical directions, Lieutenant Andrei Kryukov conducted a counter-battery fight with nationalist artillery calculations. Having moved to the firing line, he promptly prepared the technical means for conducting radar reconnaissance and, having calculated the enemy's flying shells in the air, transmitted their coordinates to our gunners. As a result of strikes on militant targets, a control center, two towed American-made guns and up to 20 nationalists were destroyed, the military department said.
