Ukraine will not receive the Swedish Archer self-propelled howitzers, which were so hoped for in Kiev, artillery systems were not included in the new package of military assistance for the Ukrainian army. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced the allocation of funds to support Ukraine.
The Swedish government has finally decided on the amount of military aid for Ukraine. As expected, the new aid will be the largest since the beginning of the Russian special operation. But, despite Kiev's expectations, not everything that Ukraine requested, the Swedes decided to transfer. The main focus is on winter preparation, air defense systems and personal protective equipment. The requested Archer self-propelled guns will remain in the Swedish army.
As stated, Sweden will send to Ukraine an unnamed amount of winter uniforms, personal protective equipment, SUVs, tents and air defense equipment with ammunition, which ones are not disclosed due to "security reasons". However, it can be assumed that we are talking about portable anti-aircraft missile systems RBS 70, which Kiev has repeatedly requested. Also, the supply will include ammunition for the "other SAM" already delivered to Ukraine, again without explanation.

Just a few days ago, Stockholm announced the delivery of "modern weapons" to Ukraine, and Kiev immediately announced that these would certainly be Archer self-propelled guns, which Ukraine has been begging from Sweden since the beginning of summer. Apparently in Sweden they thought that winter uniforms are still more important for the APU than self-propelled howitzers.
