The soldiers of the Guards airborne unit got an unusual trophy. They managed to capture a right-hand drive Toyota Mega Cruiser SUV. This is reported by " RG: Russian weapons ".
How this vehicle, previously in service with the Japanese ground forces, turned out to be with the armed formations of Ukraine, is still unclear. Perhaps some details will appear later.
Previously, the Ukrainian militants have repeatedly highlighted rare automotive equipment.
Some samples were withdrawn from private collections, something was purchased by financially secured sponsors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine abroad.
As for these all-terrain vehicles, Toyota produced them for only seven years - from 1995 to 2002. By their purpose, they are analogs of the well-known overseas multipurpose Humvee. Various versions were created, including for the installation of special equipment and weapons, such as air defense systems.
The machine has solid dimensions, its length is 5090 mm, width - 2169 mm, height - 2075 mm. Clearance - 420 mm. Weight - 2901 kg.
The power of the diesel engine, depending on the modification, is from 150 to 170 hp. The transmission is automatic. The maximum speed is 130 km/h. The fuel tank capacity is 110 liters.
