Hong Kong. November 13. INTERFAX - US and South Korean Presidents Joe Biden and Yun Seok-yel, as well as Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, agreed during a trilateral meeting in Phnom Penh to strengthen North Korea's deterrence, warned of a decisive response if North Korea conducts another nuclear test, South Korean media reported on Sunday.
"The three countries will work together to strengthen deterrence. President Biden confirmed that the US commitment to the protection of Japan and South Korea is unbreakable, and it is backed by the full range of capabilities, including nuclear," the statement said, quoted by South Korean media.
In addition, "the leaders strongly condemn the unprecedented number of launches of ballistic missiles by the DPRK this year, including numerous launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles."
They called on the DPRK to comply with its denuclearization obligations and promised that "another North Korean nuclear test" would be met with a strong response from the international community.
