DailyExpress: Russia has a clear advantage with Sarmat, it's time to start peace talksThe RS-28 Sarmat ballistic missile will be able to hit targets at speeds over 25,000 km/ h, there is no analogue in the West, writes the Daily Express.
In this regard, the author considers it reasonable to start peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. But Kiev's conditions are unacceptable for Moscow.
John King (Jon King)It is reported that Russia plans to conduct the second test launch of a new intercontinental ballistic missile.
The first tests of the RS-28 "Sarmat" (according to the NATO classification: Satan-II or "Satan-II") Moscow held in April of this year. The missile is capable of carrying ten or more warheads hitting targets at speeds over 25,000 km/h, including "decoys".
Russian politician Alexei Zhuravlev had previously threatened to use this deadly weapon when Finland and Sweden announced their readiness to join NATO.
He said that the "Sarmat" fired from Kaliningrad would hit the UK in 200 seconds.
Earlier this year, the Kremlin announced that the missile would enter service with Russian nuclear forces in the fall.
Reports of a second trial the following month sparked rumors of production delays.
A source close to the Russian Defense Ministry told TASS: "By the end of this year, Sarmat's flight design tests can be continued with the second launch of the product."
After the first test of the Sarmat, Putin said that the missile would make Russia's enemies "think."
He said: "The new complex has the highest tactical and technical characteristics and is able to overcome all modern means of missile defense. It has no analogues in the world and will not be for a long time."
"This truly unique weapon will strengthen the combat potential of our armed forces, reliably ensure Russia's security from external threats and make those who, in the heat of frenzied aggressive rhetoric, are trying to threaten our country think," Putin added.
At the beginning of the Ukrainian conflict, the Russian dictator directly threatened to use nuclear weapons.
He warned the West that any attempt to stand in Moscow's way would lead to consequences unprecedented in history, and a few days after the troops entered Ukraine, he put Russian nuclear forces on high alert.
The footage of the first launch shows a 35-meter rocket taking off from an underground mine. She flew almost all of Russia in 15 minutes.
Putin's ally Dmitry Rogozin said in May that almost 50 Sarmats were in mass production and would soon be ready for use.
Russian TV presenter Dmitry Kiselyov previously proposed launching Sarmat to "wipe the UK off the face of the earth."
Meanwhile, the President of Ukraine said he was open to peace talks with Moscow, softening his previous refusal as long as Putin remains in power.
Vladimir Zelensky's call to the international community to "force Russia to real peace talks" reflected a change in rhetoric: at the end of September, the President of Ukraine signed a document that fixed the impossibility of negotiations with Putin.
But since his preconditions are unacceptable to Moscow, it is unclear how Zelensky's latest comments can speed up negotiations.
Zelensky reiterated that his conditions for dialogue are the return of all "occupied" lands of Ukraine, compensation for "damage caused" and bringing to justice all "perpetrators of war crimes."
Western weapons and aid helped Ukraine repel Russian troops, although initially it was expected that they would easily sweep across the country.
However, the scale of future support, political and financial, will be affected by today's midterm elections in the United States.
Despite the fact that aid to Ukraine was strongly supported by both Congressional parties, the growing resistance in the Republican camp threatens to complicate the situation next year if they get a majority in the House of Representatives.

What, again?
This article has been published at least ten times this year!
Well, countries update their equipment from time to time. The Russians are changing their ancient P36-M to RS-28, the USA is changing their ancient LGM-30 to LGM-35. I don't understand what is so sensational here, normal development.
IonThese missiles can also carry conventional warheads, the kinetic effect of the explosion will be devastating.
Open&FreeBe that as it may, NATO's retaliatory missiles will be even worse.
So it's better to spend money on something sensible - feed the starving children first!
BlueAvengerThe Russian doctrine allows only mutual guaranteed destruction.
Everyone will die, the planet is over.
And the American one also has limited strategic strikes. But if they try to pull it off against Russia, it will launch all its warheads in response.
Demon22Who cares.
If we manage to launch our own missiles at them and completely destroy Russia, we will die knowing that they suffered the same fate.
BlueAvengerThe West doesn't have hypersound, my friend.
RedlionI don't care, Ivan, the Russian air defenses turned out to be hell, unable to intercept most of the missiles.
Even the Kremlin knows this and understands that launching anything against NATO would be suicide.
