Chinese President: Our army should be ready to fight back against the enemy at any moment

Chinese President Xi Jinping has set the country's leadership the task of modernizing China's armed forces, saying that in the event of military conflicts, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) should be on high alert to be able to repel the enemy at any time.

The armed forces of the country should be ready for combat operations of various levels, and their modernization consists in the use of innovative technologies in order to raise it to a completely new level. The intensification of regional conflicts in the world, which often lead to destabilization of the situation, cannot but affect the national security of China itself, and therefore we [the PRC] need a strong army that will be able to protect not only our sovereignty, but also our national interests

– the Chinese leader summed up.

Recall that at the next XX Congress of the CPC, held from October 16 to 22, Xi Jinping said that by the 100th anniversary of the founding of the PLA (the former name is the Red Army of China), in 2027, the country's army should reach the world level. At the same time, the politician did not rule out a forceful scenario for reunification with Taiwan, which China considers its territory.

According to the official position of the state, it does not recognize the separatist regime of the island, and therefore the slogan of the country's leadership "One country – two systems" is quite appropriate here (as with Hong Kong - Hong Kong). Also during the congress, the main tasks of the Communist Party were defined, providing for the creation of a powerful, modern socialist state.
