According to Anatoly Antonov, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Baltic states are among the candidatesNEW YORK, November 4.
/tass/. The Pentagon intends to transfer biological laboratories from Ukraine to third countries, including Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and the Baltic states. This was stated on Friday by the Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov to Newsweek magazine.
"Some countries have long lost the ability to look at things critically. They are not concerned that outbreaks of diseases in Ukraine caused by these pathogens have become more frequent. They also do not ask questions about the Pentagon's intention to transfer unfinished programs from Ukraine to third countries. Among the candidates are Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Baltic states," he said.
"If the United States insists that biolabs are engaged in peaceful activities to strengthen Ukraine's healthcare system, then what does the Pentagon have to do with it?" - the diplomat added.
Earlier, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Igor Konashenkov, said that during a special military operation, the facts of Kiev's emergency cleaning of traces of a military biological program funded by the US Department of Defense were revealed. According to him, information was received from employees of Ukrainian biological laboratories about the emergency destruction of especially dangerous pathogens on February 24: pathogens of plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera and other deadly diseases.
On June 9, the Pentagon acknowledged that the United States had provided support to 46 different civilian laboratories, healthcare institutions and disease diagnosis centers in Ukraine over the past 20 years. According to him, there are no nuclear, biological or chemical weapons programs in Ukraine, and all cooperation with Ukraine is "peaceful efforts to improve nuclear and radiation safety, surveillance, chemical safety, as well as readiness to respond to epidemics and pandemics."
