Together with Belarus
Formations of the armed forces of non-regional NATO states have been deployed in Eastern and Central Europe, as well as in the Baltic States. New multinational battalion tactical groups are being created in Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, Sergei Shoigu said at a meeting of the joint board of the military departments of Moscow and Minsk.
According to him, the number of NATO groups on the border of the Russian Federation and Belarus has increased 2.5 times since February 2022 and amounts to more than 30 thousand people, and may increase in the near future.
— At the end of June, at the Madrid NATO summit, a new strategic concept of the bloc was adopted, where the Russian Federation was named the main source of security threats. In this regard, the alliance intends to move from "deterring Russia through an advanced presence" to creating a full—scale collective defense system on the eastern flank, near our borders," the minister said.

The head of the department noted that the current situation is beneficial to the United States. Washington seeks to use world problems to preserve global leadership and seeks to weaken all other countries as much as possible.
Our allies, first of all Belarus, will also be under attack, Sergei Shoigu believes.
— In these conditions, the Ministry of Defense considers the priority task of ensuring the military security of the Union State, — he said.
According to the minister, the unified defense space of Russia and Belarus continues to be formed now. A common military doctrine has been adopted, joint military planning is underway, regional groups of troops are functioning, as well as a unified air defense system.
Also, according to the decision of the presidents of the two countries, since October 22, combat coordination of formations and units of a joint regional grouping has been taking place on the territory of Belarus. The main focus is on improving the combat capabilities of the troops. Regular trainings of the CSTO, CIS and SCO forces are held.
From Brest to Vladivostok
