Lunar Rover
In a dusty Arizona desert is riding an unusual vehicle – manned Rover for future lunar missions. It was developed by NASA specifically for the "Artemis", which suggests that astronauts will go for long hikes and break camp away from the main lunar base. To do this, they need more than just the truck with the motor, so in the end, engineers have designed a full house on wheels for travel on the moon.
The vehicle had a unique suspension system in which each wheel is managed separately and has its own suspension. So it can be raised — for example, to "skip over" stone with a height of 30 cm, the Rover is able to rotate on the spot, to go sideways and diagonally to move the stones of different sizes and to conquer the not-too-steep slopes. He has a very simple control with a joystick, which has proven effective in trials. Since the lunar trips lasting several days inside the Rover has the basic conditions for life, including beds, refrigerator and toilet. During the first test group test conducted within three days and two nights, traveling across the desert and performing various geological surveys on the instructions from the PMU. It is assumed that the Rover will go to the moon in the third part of the program Artemis in mid-2020.
