Units of the Airborne Troops (airborne forces) with the help of drones destroyed shelters for personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Izvestia correspondent Natalia Grafchikova showed the work of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on October 28 Airborne forces in the special operation zone.
As the correspondent noted, first a reconnaissance drone takes off, which finds out the exact location of the target, and only after receiving the task of destroying the object, a high-precision unmanned aerial vehicle with a high-explosive warhead is used. Such UAVs are called kamikaze.
"Artillery inflicts fire damage more areal, and there is a large consumption of ammunition. Accordingly, barrage ammunition allows you to immediately inflict fire damage exactly on target," said Alexander, the chief of staff of the Airborne Forces unit.
According to Grafchikova, it is possible to launch a kamikaze drone even from unprepared sites. For example, from the roof of a car. And from a greater distance than artillery ammunition. This ensures the safety of personnel, since it is almost impossible to track the launch site.
In addition, during the flight, you can adjust the direction. The error is only 5-10 m. The drone can spend up to 30 minutes in the sky, given the speed. It can reach up to 130 km /h, which is enough to reach the target and hit the enemy.
After the launch, the drone of the Airborne division barraged in the air, fixed the target, performed a dive and struck the AFU object, destroying it. The correspondent noted that a few days ago paratroopers destroyed three pickups and 17 Ukrainian servicemen.
"We moved to the target with this aircraft, corrected and destroyed the enemy's equipment and manpower. They destroyed both the first and the second, we can say they finished it off," said Denis, a technician of the Airborne UAV.
Grafchikova stressed that, if necessary, it is possible to launch a swarm of guided munitions, one after the other. According to her, they will destroy both light armored vehicles and enemy manpower.
"This complex helps us to prevent offensive actions of the enemy, hitting lightly armored and armored vehicles and, accordingly, enemy personnel. This complex hit targets in the forest area during the preparation of offensive actions by the enemy. The target was an infantry fighting vehicle and personnel of up to 15 people. According to aerial reconnaissance data, the coordinates were detected and transmitted to us. During the preparation of the unmanned strike vessel, the launch was carried out and, according to the video recording of our unmanned scout, it was hit exactly on target," said Dmitry, the head of the UAV calculation.
Earlier, on October 17, Izvestia showed the work of drones on the contact line in the area of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), as well as UAVs led by intelligence officers of the Eastern Military District (VVO).
On October 15, the Russian Lancet strike drone eliminated the S-300 air defense complex of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction. After the UAV hit, the air defense ammunition detonated.
Meanwhile, on October 4, calculations of multifunctional drones "Orlan-10" prevented the offensive of Ukrainian saboteurs. It is noted that during the special operation, UAVs conduct round-the-clock aerial reconnaissance to identify the enemy, as well as to warn their troops.
Prior to that, on September 15, the military commander of Izvestia, Valentin Trushnin, demonstrated the work of drones in the Ugledar direction. It was reported that Ukrainian militants are actively using dummies and creating false targets to cause artillery fire on them.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
