On Tuesday, October 18, a meeting was held on the territory of the Dimitrovgrad industrial site of the OAT Group, which is part of the KAMAZ structure, with the participation of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexey Russian, CEO of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin, President of AVTOVAZ Maxim Sokolov and CEO of the OAT Group Firdaus Kabirov. During the meeting dedicated to the development of automotive industry enterprises, topical issues of further development of the Dimitrovgrad industrial site, cooperation and logistics projects, personnel programs aimed at employees of the automotive industry were discussed."More than 400 enterprises of the region work in the automotive industry, half of them are located in Dimitrovgrad.
It is important for us to load them with orders – stable work depends on it, which means the well-being of residents. Today we agreed that the format of the procurement sessions will become annual. To develop cooperation, our region will conclude a cooperation agreement with the KAMAZ Procurement Center and the AvtoVAZ Procurement Directorate. We discussed our joint plans for the development of the DAAZ site. The development of infrastructure and the loading of the Master DIP continues. Another DAAZ development project is the creation of the DAAZ Autocomponent industrial technology park. We agreed that we will promote this project. The experience of the DEEP "Master" has shown that the squares are in great demand among residents. I am sure that our partners, in particular KAMAZ PJSC, will be interested in the proposal to invest in the implementation of a new industrial park. For Dimitrovgrad, these will be not only new competencies, but also jobs for residents," said the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexey Russian.
Sergey Kogogin, CEO of KAMAZ PJSC, noted the importance and timeliness of the support provided to the automotive industry by the leadership of the Ulyanovsk Region. Recall that subsidies were allocated from the regional budget to three enterprises of the OAT Group – LLC DAAZ, LLC Avtosvet, LLC Dimitrovgrad Powder Metallurgy Plant. This made it possible to preserve labor collectives, as well as to return to a five-day work schedule.
Maxim Sokolov, President of AVTOVAZ JSC, confirmed that AVTOVAZ JSC is interested in developing the Dimitrovgrad site as one of the leading suppliers of automotive components. Also, according to him, it is important to maintain the human resources potential of the automotive industry. "This also applies to organizations in Tatarstan, primarily KAMAZ, AvtoVAZ, and here in the Ulyanovsk region. Here, too, there is a field for combining our efforts in terms of training young personnel, working with secondary specialized educational institutions, general educational programs and approaches to attracting a personnel reserve," Maxim Sokolov stressed.
Firdaus Kabirov, General Director of the OAT Group, noted that DAAZ is aimed at further development. "Thanks to the support, we managed to preserve the team, and now the company is ready to develop new products," Firdaus Kabirov stressed.
All participants of the meeting noted the importance of working as a single team: the priority is to increase production capacity, modernize production and develop new nomenclature in the automotive industry.
