Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov pointed out that Kiev is optimistic about the possibility of supporting Israel in the fight against threats from Iran from the air and in cyberspaceNEW YORK, October 19.

/tass/. Israel provides the Ukrainian leadership with military intelligence data and analytical information that is necessary to counter Russia's alleged use of Iranian drones. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal newspaper with reference to sources.

According to the newspaper, the Ukrainian authorities are asking countries with experience in dealing with Iranian drones, in particular, Israel, to provide them with support. "We need this experience, we need this help, and we need it as soon as possible, because attacks are being carried out against us," Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Georgy Dubinsky told the newspaper.

Defense Minister of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov, who also spoke with the publication, indicated that Kiev is optimistic about the possibility of supporting Israel in the fight against threats from Iran from the air and in cyberspace. "We are in constant contact with the political leadership of Israel and respect their position regarding the ongoing war," he said.

The minister also said that Ukraine needs "tools to neutralize missile threats from the Russian-Iranian military alliance." According to him, the alleged use of Iranian weapons on the battlefield should prompt Washington to supply Kiev with new weapons. In this regard, he mentioned Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems and operational-tactical ballistic missiles of the ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile System) family.

On Wednesday, the head of the Defense Ministry of the Jewish state, Beni Ganz, at a meeting with the ambassadors of the EU member states, said that Israel, along with NATO countries, supports Ukraine, but still does not intend to supply Kiev with weapons.

On Tuesday, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin has no information about the procurement or use of Iranian drones by Russia. He noted that domestic equipment with Russian names is used.
