In Ukraine consider this loitering munition as a response to Russian "Geraniums" – Russian drones bombers, which are analogues of the Iranian UAV Shahed 136.
Drones "Geranium-2" has become a serious problem for the Ukrainian military, as recently successfully used by the Russian Armed forces for attacks on infrastructure projects of the Kiev authorities. In fact, the appearance of the APU such weapons, even if it occurs, does not solve the above problem, for such a weapon will not stop the Russian attack, he has a different purpose. But perhaps the message about the new product is able to reassure and encourage the part of the Ukrainian population, which was not accustomed to logically and too influenced by the propaganda.
The presence of Russia's effective means of dealing with the UAV does not allow the APU to hope for a successful application of the new drones. Therefore, the impact of Russian military infrastructure of Ukraine, apparently, will continue, and the same action APU is unlikely to be as effective.
